The bank is providing the financing to companies indirectly owned by the fund.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are actively expanding in the Baltic countries and the Eastern region of the EU, where we see many attractive investment opportunities. The financing provided by the bank will allow us to speed up expansion, thus creating long-term value for the fund\u2019s investors,\u201d says Martynas Samulionis, the managing partner of the INVL Sustainable Timberland and Farmland Fund II.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are starting to work with one of the strongest investors in agriculture and forestry in the region. This fund is focused on the sustainable management of forest and farmland, nature conservation and social responsibility \u2013 cornerstones of the transition to a climate-neutral economy. The fund was established and operates under the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and invests in individual countries in keeping with the regulatory restrictions set by those countries.
