The INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund, the leading private equity fund in the Baltics, has announced that its portfolio company Eco Baltia, the region\u2019s the largest environmental resource management and recycling group, has redeemed all of its EUR 18\u202fmillion worth of bonds, fulfilling its commitments to investors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On February\u202f17, Eco\u202fBaltia redeemed EUR 8\u202fmillion in bonds upon maturity, while another EUR 10\u202fmillion in bonds were redeemed early almost nine months ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n

For the early redemption, the company paid bondholders a 1% premium over the nominal value, along with accrued interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe invested in Eco\u202fBaltia in 2020, and during our management period the company has expanded from being a business operating solely in Latvia to entering Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Access to the capital markets was an important part of the strategy that enabled sustainable growth, so we do not rule out returning to the capital market with new projects,\u201d says Partner at INVL\u202fBaltic\u202fSea\u202fGrowth\u202fFund and Chairman of Eco\u202fBaltia\u2019s Supervisory Board Vytautas\u202fPlunksnis.<\/p>\n

The first bond issue, valued at EUR 8\u202fmillion, with a three\u2011year term and 8% annual interest rate, was launched on February\u202f17,\u202f2023.<\/p>\n

The second issue, amounting to EUR 10\u202fmillion with 9% annual interest, was placed on November\u202f2,\u202f2023, originally due for repayment on November\u202f2,\u202f2026, but redeemed early.<\/p>\n

Following the full redemption, Eco\u202fBaltia\u2019s bonds were delisted from Nasdaq\u202fRiga\u2019s First\u202fNorth market.<\/p>\n

In November\u202f2025, the EUR 410\u202fmillion INVL\u202fPrivate\u202fEquity\u202fFund\u202fII, continuing the investment strategy of the INVL\u202fBaltic\u202fSea\u202fGrowth\u202fFund, completed the acquisition of a 75% stake in Estonian waste management group\u202fEesti\u202fKeskkonnateenused\u202f(EKT).<\/p>\n

About the INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund <\/strong><\/p>\n

With a fund size of EUR 165 million, the INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund is one of the leading private equity funds in the Baltics.
